Our Story

We Got Started Because We Want to Make the Web A Safer Place

CyberArrange Security Solutions j.d.o.o. was established as a Spin-off company from University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, with the intent to commercialize the results of the PhD research of its principal founder Ivan Kovačević by developing a software product called CyberArrange. The company was co-founded by Associate professor Stjepan Groš, domain and marketing expert Matko A. Bekavac, and operations and administration expert Luka Matić. Once completed, CyberArrange will provide significant improvements in cyber security exercise and training preparation for cyber ranges and similar simulation environments, resulting in improved and more affordable exercises and training for their end clients. The project team has also enrolled into the university’s deep-tech venture builder programme Nuqleus, which ensures that all members are up to date with required skills and supports organization of various promotional events. Besides development of the flagship product, the company also provides services in software development and cyber security as broader areas related to the development of CyberArrange.

SCIENTIFIC WORK

Our Publications

Kovačević, Ivan, Stjepan Groš, and Karlo Slovenec. “Systematic review and quantitative comparison of cyberattack scenario detection and projection.” Electronics 9.10 (2020): 1722.

This paper by Ivan Kovačević analyses and compares several methods that seek to discover complex attack scenarios based on observed alerts in IT systems. It finds flaws in several of those methods and their evaluation, and provides a clear comparison of their results over the involved datasets.

Kovačević, Ivan, et al. “Predicting Vulnerabilities in Web Applications Based on Website Security Model.” 2022 International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer Networks (SoftCOM). IEEE, 2022.

This paper presents contributions on the project e-Schools done at the Innovation Centre Nikola Tesla, on which Ivan Kovačević worked on a large-scale system for finding vulnerabilities and signs of compromise in the Croatian web, and proposes a method of predicting such vulnerabilities.

Kovačević, Ivan, et al. “Light-Weight Synthesis of Security Logs for Evaluation of Anomaly Detection and Security Related Experiments.” Proceedings of the 16th European Workshop on System Security. 2023.

In this paper we present a research project done at the University of Zagreb that aims to develop a method of educating Security Operations Centre personnel and evaluate AI methods in intrusion detection, based on integrating signs of cyber attacks into production logs of target IT systems.
